When I was 14 we moved house. The house was old, 1888. I began to daydream odd things. I think the move from my comfortable old home had unsettled me. I imagined both a painting being found in the loft, an old Lady's face in a bright mauve summer hat with a wide brim. Then I had daydreams of seeing a small girl running past, just out of the corner of my eye. Or running into the small cupboard under the stairs and slamming the door. I'd often go and look there with a torch, just to be sure. These daydreams were vivid and odd.
